Dr David Agolley is an Australian trained Orthopaedic Surgeon, with a special interest and further fellowship training sub-specialising as a hip and knee surgeon. Servicing the Gold Coast and North Coast, NSW, Dr Agolley is a well-respected figure in the Australian surgical community with expertise in the treatment of sports injuries, upper and lower limb trauma, and hip and knee replacement.
Acquiring his medical degree at the University of Newcastle in 2002, Dr Agolley then went to complete his Orthopaedic Specialist training through the Australian Orthopaedic Association Advanced Training Scheme in Sydney, after which he completed fellowships in London at prestigious hospitals. In Australia, he has become a renowned surgeon for knee and hip ailments operating in Queensland.

Hip Replacements
Dr David Agolley is a hip surgeon on the Gold Coast who performs total hip replacement, including complex revision hip replacement procedures. Hip Impingement & Labral Tears
Hip impingement is a condition that usually affects young active individuals where there is repetitive collision between the femoral head-neck junction and the rim of the acetabulum during normal functional hip movements.
This is often the cause of labral tears, as it is not common for the labrum to tear in the absence of a shape problem in the hip joint. Commonly the shape problems are due to a cam lesion or pincer lesion. Labral tears may also occur due to hip dysplasia, a traumatic injury, or arthritis.
